Timely, accurate financial reports are a key to keeping your business rolling forward. Whether you have an in-house bookkeeper prepare them and have us look them over, or we input your monthly information and output the report; your financials need to be correct in order for your decisions to be made on a sound basis. Too many young businesses struggle or fail because their bookkeeping puts expenses and purchases into the wrong accounts, giving the owner a false sense of success. Have the professionals at Brian E. Lindberg, cpa, pc look over your financial statements to be sure you are receiving an accurate view of how the business is doing and to provide suggestions for improving your business.

Looking for financing? The complete financials provided by Brian E. Lindberg, cpa, pc are perfect for inclusion in business plans, for use in procuring SBA Loans and other business loans, or for presentation to investors and stockholders.

The most commonly used financial reports are the monthly Balance Sheet and Income Statement (Profit and Loss), but Brian E. Lindberg, cpa, pc can set up custom reports if your business has a need for tracking a particular area of concern.

Starting A New Business?

We provide you with the information and guidance you need to successfully launch your business. We'll help you evaluate the pros and cons of each type of business entity (LLC, Corporation, S Corporation, Partnership, etc.) to determine which best suits your goals and financial means, while minimizing risk; both for your current situation and your future.

Then, we can help you file the forms to register your business with the Federal and Michigan government, get your new firm set up with a Federal ID number, establish your business entity, and register for sales tax or employment taxes – no need for a lawyer to file expensive forms.

Form 2553 (Election by a Small Business Corporation)

Filed with the Federal Government to indicate that you are choosing to be taxed as a SubS Corporation. Times lines are important.

Power of Attorney

Held at the CPA firm, this form gives your permission for Brian E. Lindberg, cpa, pc to talk directly to the Michigan Treasury or IRS on your behalf. We are required to provide this form each time we contact a treasury official in order to take your part in a discussion. If we notify you that it is required, we will ask you to fill out your Power of Attorney for a specific form (1040, etc) or for a limited period of time.

Michigan Annual Report (MAR)

Filed with Michigan, this annual form will be mailed to your business address to renew your business for the coming year. Send it in with the nominal fee to keep your Corporation "in good standing".

With your company launched, Brian E. Lindberg, cpa, pc offers a full array of accounting and taxation services to help you stay on track.

We offer assistance in setting up bookkeeping systems on Peachtree or Quick Books, and provide training and support for your bookkeeping staff, regardless of which software you choose.

If you are the staff, and you don't have time or desire to fuss with the bookkeeping, we can provide monthly bookkeeping and financial statements, or just quarterly report assistance for filing your State and Federal reports. This sounds more expensive, but in the long run fewer errors have to be corrected, making tax return preparation less costly. Plus, in the absence of an in-house bookkeeper, you can rely on the financial information we provide to give you an accurate representation of the company's financial position.
